VaRoom Studios has been documenting real estate across Vancouver Island for realtors, developers and municipalities. We combine accurate floor plans with professional photography, and we've been doing it since the early days of the iGUIDE system.
VaRoom Studios covers the Comox Valley and Campbell River. We work directly with realtors to get accurate measurements and clean, consistent photography on every listing, delivered fast enough to make the next open house. We've worked well beyond our two home regions too, from the North Island to Nanaimo.
Every job starts the same way: a fresh floor plan, fresh photos, and the iGUIDE 3D tour that comes bundled with them. Aerial photography and video get added when a listing calls for it.
In 2018, the City of Courtenay hired VaRoom Studios to iGUIDE-photograph 55 municipal structures over the course of three months. The list ran from City Hall and a 35,000 sq ft recreation complex down to a 100 sq ft park washroom.
Working with Kitchener-based Planitar, creators of the iGUIDE technology, the project gave the city an accurate, photographed record of every municipal building it manages.
“We tendered it out, and got different responses, and the fellow with the iGUIDE system was actually the most affordable… with the most value added. In fact it was $60,000 cheaper than the other bids.”Chris Thompson, asset management technologist, City of Courtenay public works services
As reported in The Ontario Construction Report, November 2018, with comments from City of Courtenay staff including Chris Thompson, Lisa Zervakis and CAO David Allen.
